FAQ

What medical professionals are involved in decisions related to camp programming?
Our medical decisions are guided by the guidelines set forth by the American Camp Association, local experts in NJ, and the CDC.
When will you have the updated guidelines for this summer?
We will have the updated guidelines by the end of April.
Where is the campsite located?
The camp is based out of the Rabbinical College in Morristown. We also rent additional space from the neighboring public school for some of our divisions. Parents will be notified regarding the exact location of your children’s division before camp.
Do you make allowances for children with allergies or those who need medication?
Yes, absolutely. We prioritize the health and safety of all our campers. Camp Gan Israel is proud to be a nut-free environment. All lunches provided at camp are prepared with careful attention to avoid nuts, aligning with our commitment to safety for those with nut allergies. Furthermore, we understand the importance of medication for some children’s well-being. Parents are encouraged to bring any necessary medications to camp, which will be securely stored in the director’s office. Our staff is trained to administer medication at the prescribed times, following doctor’s instructions to ensure each child’s needs are met with precision and care.
Can I get a refund if my child doesn't attend camp?
Refunds are not available for day-to-day absences and, as per our policy, no refunds are issued after June 1st. We aim to be understanding and flexible, and in the case of unforeseen circumstances that significantly affect your child’s ability to attend camp, we will consider these situations on a case-by-case basis and accommodate accordingly.
